This is the Valenitne Fancy Favor Box I posted yesterday.

This was a quick gift project to make.

This project was inspired by Gretchen Barron.

Happy Valentines Day!! Stampin' Up! Style

Happy Valentines Day!!

I made this cute little Fancy Favor box with the 

Big Shot die of the same name.

I used a small cello bag for the

Valetine Candy Corn.

I deocrated the box using the Litlle Leaves Sizzlit

and the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit.

I'll share more details about this project tomorrow.

mini book will be made which will be a

non-traditional Valentine theme.

Shhhhhhh...I plan to give it to my hubby.

The paper on the project in the photo is now

retired, so it's no longer available.

I will be using 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper (also retired),

rubber stamps, and accessories for this project.

 

This mini book is made using a die for the Big Shot.

 

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! products.

Christmas Candy Bar/Gift Card Holders

This Christmas candy bar/gift card holder project was

made for our regular UPS driver.

When I saw this project I thought it was soooo cute!

This project came from Becky Roberts' 2011 12 Days of Christmas Tutorial.

You can go to her web site and find it in the right side bar.

Here is the one I made for my hair stylist.

I can imagine using this year round as a birthday,

appreciation, congratulations, thank you gifts.

All you need to do is use a different combination

of colors and Designer Series Paper.

I had to adjust the measurements for

the card stock of the large box piece

beacuse the Gharidelli Dark Chocolate with

Raspberry package was wider 

and thicker than the large candy bars

the box was designed for.

Nature Birthday Card

    This simple and quick Nature Birthday card was made on a whim. This card could be considered a masculine card. It would be a nice birthday card for almost anyone to recieve. I've been busy using My Digital Studio to explore and to create. That and the fact that I'm missing the energy to be creative with real ink, paper, and other supplies. Frankly, I can be tired and uninspired and still come up with something using the digital software.

    To be honest, I have a habit of ignoring some of the images that came with the program. So, I've been exploring the use of the them. This is one of those projects. The stamp brush set that I've not used much at all is "A Little Birthday Cheer". That was the starting point for this project.

Nautical Expedition Flip Book Part 2

    This is the 2nd post showing the Nautical Expedition Flip Book the photo is of the book when you first open it up. This is a mini album or it could be called a mini scrapbook. It would make a great gift for that person in your life who enjoys sailing or tall sailing ships, or just loves all things nautical. This paper retired just a few days ago. I'm so sad to see it go. The coordinating stamp was also supposed to retire at that time but I have good news!! Stampin' Up! announced yesterday that they are going to continue to have The Open Sea stamp set available for purchase until the end of June. Wooohooo!!! This Designer Series Paper is still available as a digital download for My Digital Studio.

Silver Glimmer Paper

    The new Glimmer paper is soooooo gorgeous!! I wanted to feature how beautiful this paper is on this project! I'm so glad that Stampin' Up! has offered this new paper in the Holiday Mini. I have the Red Glimmer paper which I have barely used! Iam determined not to save either of these papers but to use them up & then have to order more!! 

    When I wrote the above paragraph I had no idea whatsoever what I was going to do with the paper! I really didn't want to create a Christmas card. I had to think for a bit and decided on starts! I used the Stars #2 die for the Big Shot. From there it was a matter of finding card stock that was going to show off this paper. I know the card looks very patriotic so I chose a sentiment that indicates otherwise. This handmade card is simple and quick to create. It would make a nice masculine card.

Nautical Expedition Flip Book Part 1

    I had so much fun making this Nautical Expedition Flip book! This is a mini scrapbook which isn't really that hard to create. If you've been following my blog at all you know that I have a lot (hundreds) of photos of The Lady Washington and some of the Hawaiian Chieftan as well. Both are tall sailing ships which come to Whidbey Island from time to time. The Lady Washington is probably best known because she was the HMS Interceptor in the Pirates of the Carribean Curse of the Black Pearl movie. (She's the ship that was stolen at the beginning of the movie and the one that was blown up much later in the movie.) This is the perfect mini album to put some of those photos into!!

    This book came together rather quickly and easily. I made a couple of these books several years ago and thought it would be fun to make a new one using this fabulous paper. When working on this kind of a project I typically agonize over choosing just the right paper. Not this time! Knowing how the book goes together and opens and opens and opens I decided which papers from this collection would go on which sections. It only took me about 10 minutes or less to decide!! (Yay me for being so quick about it!!!) I did that before I cut ANY paper at all. From there the project was a snap to put together.

Boot Print Baskets

    These little boot print baskets were made for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the church we attend. The theme of the event was Moving Forward in Faith and foot prints were a part of the logo that was used. The closest I had in stamps were these boot prints image from the long ago retired Roughing It set. (Apologies for the blurry photo.) The basket (party favor) was made using the Baskets and Blooms die which is also retired as of June 30th. Originally the plan was to make 250 of these but since so few people were coming from out of state the number was reduced. With the help of a couple of friends a total of 132 were made.

    The photos below shows how they were used on the tables as a decoration for the potluck after the Sunday morning worhsip service. As you can see from the photos M&Ms, Peanut M&Ms, and nuts were placed inside these little baskets.

Although I used My Digital Studio to create many of these samples, similar projects can be created with the stamp set as well as the decorative paper.
